Tom Coventry, the newly appointed head coach of the Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club the London Irish is not expected to start in his new job until after Samoa’s exploits in the upcoming Rugby World Cup in the summer is over.
Coventry was announced as the club’s new coach this past week, but he remains in charge of the Super Rugby XV side the Chiefs as assistant coach and the co-head coach in charge of the Samoa national team. Bob Casey, a director for the Exiles said that he is keeping in touch with the new coach constantly.
Casey said that they speak every day or every alternate day and said that he will be arriving at the club after Samoa’s stint in the Rugby World Cup is over. Continue reading →
